“Giving The Crayola Color Alive Experience Two Thumbs Up!”

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Crayola for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

When it comes to art & creativity, we promote it heavily in our house. My daughter loves to color and create. Her masterpieces can be found all around the house. Crayola Color Alive Action Coloring Pages—the iconic brand’s first augmented reality product among its growing digital portfolio—takes drawing off the pages of a coloring book and into places limited only by a child’s imagination, fusing real-world creativity with digital interactivity. For the first time ever, with Crayola Color Alive, children can color dragons and then watch them take flight, breathing fire into their stories and anywhere else their imagination takes them.

Children can activate the Crayola Color Alive experience through the free app by aiming a device’s camera – either a tablet, mobile phone or iPod Touch – at the colored page to bring their unique drawing to life in their own surroundings. Kids can interact with their characters, take pictures with them, and save their unique creations for later. The Action Coloring Pages really take coloring to a whole new level.

Color Alive will be available in four coloring books: Skylanders™, Barbie™, Enchanted Garden™ and Mythical Creatures™. Each book contains 16 coloring pages, each featuring a unique character and animation, and comes with seven crayons, including one Magic Crayon that unlocks a special virtual effect such as Fire-Breath and Pixie Dust. You can now Bring Your Coloring To Life just by using a crayon!

Pixie Dust is my daughter’s current favorite, of course.

How it works:

You can download the free Crayola Color Alive app to iOS, Android or Windows device by visiting or searching for Crayola Color Alive in the App Store, Google Play, or Windows. You then scan the Magic Crayon with the Color Alive app to unlock a virtual coloring effect. After that, you color a scene then scan it with the Color Alive app to bring character to life on device. You can interact with and take photos of virtual character off the page, even selfies! It’s pretty awesome. I recommend you checking it out! You can even save the character in order to see, share and play later – reactivate them anywhere, no pages needed
