My mother made some gold & silver garland around Christmas time and I really wanted to do something with it. I took it down to the studio and got to work!
I wanted to use my circle punch I had as well as the Circle Edge Punch and Cartridges Kit from Martha Stewart Crafts .

Quickly and easily punch perfect circles with decorative edges for round placemats, delicate doilies and curved coasters. Add ribbons, stamps or glitter for a truly tubular treat.
Here were some of the goodies I received as part of this month’s craft:

I loved this triangular punch and had an idea… I wanted to use the circle punch to punch out the paper and then use the triangular punch to make different shapes on the circle.

While I could have used a large piece of paper for this project, I wanted to use the circle punch and do something fun with it.

Portable paper trimmer? Check!

Let’s get crafting.

I loved the scraps that the punch left over….

I loved the way this turned out. I actually used a hot glue gun and glued the circles on the yarn.. although a hole punch would have been cute too. I just wanted something to go with the garland.

Check out our video post on how to use the Circle Edge Punch to create awesome doilies!!!!
