FuzziBunz Launches “Light It Up Blue” Cloth Diaper to Support Families Impacted by Autism
FuzziBunz modern cloth diapers is helping raise awareness and funds for Autism Speaks , a national advocacy organization dedicated to funding autism-related research and helping families impacted by autism, by launching its “Light It Up Blue” cloth diaper. For each “Light It Up Blue” diaper sold, FuzziBunz will donate $1 to Autism Speaks .
The diaper, originally known as “Big Sky,” has been renamed but still comes in a beautiful bright blue color.
Autism is a cause very personal to FuzziBunz’s founder and CEO, Tereson Dupuy. Dupuy’s son, Eden, was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, an autism spectrum disorder, in 2006 when he was 8 years old.
“Eden is a very special child. As a baby, he suffered from severe eczema and was the inspiration behind the entire FuzziBunz cloth diapering movement 11 years ago. Today he is the inspiration behind the Light It Up Blue’ diaper, as he inspires me each and every day to continue my mission to help families in need,” says Dupuy, who is also known as the Mother of the Modern Cloth Diaper. “There is so much research and awareness that is still needed to help people diagnose and treat autism and Asperger Syndrome and we felt compelled to help.”
Each FuzziBunz “Light It Up Blue” cloth diaper retails for $17.95 for Perfect-Size and $19.95 for the One-Size FuzziBunz cloth diaper option. The One-Size adjusts to fit babies from 7 – 30+ pounds and the Perfect-Size diaper comes in small, medium and large sizes.
Dupuy adds, “We hope our efforts will empower families, showing them a way they can easily show their love and support to families and organizations dedicated to changing the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.”

Known as the “gold standard in cloth diapering,” the patented FuzziBunz cloth diapers are a modern, convenient and sustainable diapering solution for today’s busy parents. The reusable pocket cloth diapers ensure no leaks, no rash and no waste. FuzziBunz diapers include three layers: 1) a waterproof outer barrier to keep wetness contained, 2) a soft microfleece inner layer that touches a baby’s skin and pulls away moisture, and 3) a unique, pocket-style opening that enables a parent to customize the absorbency using super absorbent micro-terrycloth pads. Stay-at-home-mom, Tereson Dupuy, invented FuzziBunz in January 1999 in response to her infant son’s chronic diaper rash and her overall dissatisfaction with all available diapers. Tereson stitched the first FuzziBunz in her home and a short time later, the modern cloth diapering movement was born.
