Reasons Why Stay at Home Moms Have the Easiest Job Out There

Household chores

One of my favorite things about being a stay at home mom is having the ability to clean the house, do laundry, and have dinner ready by the times the kids get home from school. The nice thing about laundry is that a load can be thrown in and then we can go run and do something else in between loads. Bathrooms can be cleaned, floors can be mopped, oh and do not forget about the crying baby or toddler that needs attention! For me, every time that I am on a role someone needs something, or there is something else that I need to do that interrupts what I was doing! And then in between that there I forget to throw my load of wet laundry into the dryer, having to rewash the load that was just washed.

After school activities/ classes

I keep my toddler more than busy. I love putting him in different classes where he can interact with other kids his age as well as classes where he can learn and grow in more ways than one. My son has swim lessons, cooking classes, ABC and math learning classes and many more. Not to mention, when the older kids start sports we need to have snacks ready for our hungry little athletes.

Dinner time rituals

Once the kids are all home from school, they need snacks and dinner ASAP. As mama bear is cooking dinner there are kids running around, trying to get homework done, and cooking dinner! (Sidenote: I have found that crockpot recipes and different varieties of baked meals are the best way to still be involved with what is going on around the house).

Bedtime

Some days my son loves his bath time and sometimes bathing is the last thing he wants to be doing. Some days he takes a bath before dinner and sometimes it is after dinner but either way, there is always the potential of a meltdown because bath time= bedtime, and not every toddler wants bedtime when they are going 100 miles per hour. There are kids running around half naked or naked, shoes on, socks off, clothes everywhere, screaming, and the lovely times where you pick up your toddler and they turn into an overcooked noodle trying to escape.

There is nothing better in the world than being a stay at home parent but, like every job, we have our good days and bad days. We have days where we want nothing more than some alone time and quiet time but we also get to experience those amazing little moments where our children remind us that they are truly the most amazing blessings in this world. I have a hard time with those who do not appreciate or understand all that we do as stay at home moms. It may seem like an easy job but we rarely have days off. We worry constantly, we want our children to grow constantly, and we dream to give them the most beautiful life. This is the most difficult yet rewarding job in this world. So, do not let your kids and partners take you for granted! And know how much you are appreciated. You are amazing and remember, you got this mama!
