DIY Painted-Face Pumpkins

Drill with 3/4-in bit
Hobby brushes (also available at Lowe’s: #105657)
Needle and thread

Rubber slip joint washers, #24358
3/8-in x 20-ft caulking rod, #96255
Ultra soft disposable earplugs, #31083
3/8-in x 48-in poplar round dowel, #19380

Step 1
Paint faces on the pumpkins with hobby brushes.

Step 2
Add fun accessories to the painted pumpkins — such as earrings made out of rubber slip joint washers, a wig made out of caulking rod, and a necklace made by stringing disposable earplugs (found in the hardware department) together with a needle and thread.

Step 3
If you like, remove the pumpkin stems and stack the pumpkins on top of one another. Drill holes in the tops and bottoms of the pumpkins, cut a dowel to size, and insert the dowel between the pumpkins for stability.
