Public Sprout Kids Bicycles

I have been thinking of the best presents I could give to my immediate family members this year. I always get something for them individually, then try to do something for the whole family. I thought it over and thought it over and finally realized what would be perfect for our family!

We enjoy spending our weekends together and try to have new adventures and find new places to explore. Where we live, there is always something to do and it’s warm pretty much year ’round. This year we discovered a bicycle trail that connects our city to a neighboring city. It used to be where train tracks were, but it’s now a paved trail that ventures through lush, tropical and scenic landscapes. There are several points where you can start on the trail and we’ve been to a couple, but want to explore more and what better way than by bicycle! We can cover more ground and zip on if we spot some kind of creepy creature around us.

So, I started researching hybrid bicycles online since we will mostly use it for paved areas, but might also hit some easy trails as well. I came across a website that was first on the list and discovered Public bicycles.

I fell in love as soon as I saw them as they have a casual and vintage feel to their design. What really won my heart was a beautiful baby blue with a brown seat and brown handles.

These bicycles are crafted well and come in different speeds. I do not like to change gears on a bike, so the single-speed would be perfect for me. For the quality and craftsmanship, the price is certainly affordable and reasonable in comparison with other standard bicycles and it is an awesome investment as it is sure to last many years to come.

They recently launched a line of kids bicycles as well. The colors are fun and they have different sizes for all ages of active kids (5+). Training wheels and other accessories are also available if your child needs them. The Sprout V1 is perfect for my son. I love the look and the performance is just as nice. This bicycle certainly doesn’t disappoint and performs better than other bicycles he has owned.

According to the Public website:

“Parents love the simple, stylish, durable design, with no cables to get tangled, and real quality bike parts that are safer and longer lasting that anything you’ll find in the toy store. We designed these bikes with our own kids in mind, with dependable construction to last through lots of rough and tumble and hand-me-downs. Naturally we included all the great features of grown-up PUBLIC bikes, like the matching fenders and chainguard, and comfortable brown vinyl seat and grips. The single-speed rust-resistant chain and quality coaster brake are the simplest to learn, don’t need much maintenance, and make stopping just as fun as going.”

I certainly agree with this assessment. I look forward to spending many days hitting the trails with my son. I hope that he will be able to ride his Public bicycle for many years to come, although, I’m not sure he will as he is growing like a weed. I have no doubt that the bike will still be in excellent shape when he does outgrow it and look forward to passing it on to another adventurous child!

Please visit the Public website for information on other bicycles available. Don’t wait!! They currently have HUGE sales going on for the holidays!!
