Back in April, I was invited to attend a special trip to Avery Island as a Tabasco Tastemaker. I got to experience Louisiana first hand and stay in a 200 year old house located on Avery Island.
The whole story and photo documentation will be up on Monday but first, I wanted to start with a delicious cocktail that was created by… ME!
For the last night there, we were able to create Tabasco Cocktails with Cure Mixologist Neal Bodenheimer. This is where I made THE STRAWBERRY BUFFALO.
1 Strawberry (mashed in cup)
1 tsp Lemon Juice (and peel for garnish)
2 oz of Rum
1/2 oz Creme De Banana
3/4 oz Demerara (2 parts sugar, 1 part water)
splash of Tabasco Brand Buffalo Sauce
Mix well & enjoy.
