The smoothie I made for the Strawesome review was so delicious and simple, I thought I’d share how to make it!
What you need:
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup almond milk
Dump both ingredients in a blender, blend until frothy, pour and enjoy. That’s it!
Makes 1 pint glass serving
Of course, this can be done with any frozen fruit you like. Fresh fruit doesn’t give it quite the same frothy texture, so be sure to use frozen. The almond milk gives the smoothie a slightly nutty flavor, but you can use any kind of milk you like. I love this combo. We make these for dessert fairly often. I’m sure you will enjoy it too!

14 years agoLooks delicious! I’ve got some frozen blueberries sitting in the fridge. I’m going to give this a try.

14 years agowe make a lot of smoothies in our house, I just have to share that we throw some baby spinach leaves in when our preschooler isn’t looking. The dark blue/purple disguises the green! And I can pat my own back that I got a veggie into my picky eater! Totally cute straw BTW!

14 years agoThat’s a great idea Beth! Sometimes I also add flax seeds to my smoothies right before I blend them up. Or even a sprinkle of brewers yeast. Can’t even tell it’s in there!

14 years agoBlueberry shakes are great, but vanilla banana is my favorite.

14 years agoThat is deliciously simple! We make a lot of smoothies in the summer and blueberries are my favorite ingredient, not only are they healthy – the flavor is unbeatably unique. It makes any smoothie good. I usually add mangoes, strawberries, and bananas. I also make mine with Rice Milk.
