“But Mom… WHAT DOES IT DO?!”
My kids love toys that DO something. If you hand them anything, their first question is “what does it do?!” So unfortunately, a lot of really great toys are dead in the water unless they’re equipped with computer chips, flashing lights and sounds. Until one day, I came across Sprig Toys.
Sprig Toys are a complete departure from the norm at our house. In fact, most of them don’t have batteries, let alone lights, multi-function controls or Wi-Fi. They are just imaginative toys, pure and simple. Some of the people don’t even have faces!

But instead of focusing on what Sprig Toys didn’t have, my kids were totally into what they could do. They could be anything! Without a face, the people could be heroes, villains, doctors or farmers… the possibilities were endless! The simplicity of the vehicles allowed for honest-to-goodness play, without the distraction of bells and whistles.

Little Olivia can’t get enough of her Sand Truck! This cool toy is not only a truck, but disassembles into a rake, a shovel and a bucket… perfect for the beach or pretend digging on a construction site of pillows!

Whoa! How cool!
Not only is the truck a blast to play with, its eco-friendly! Sprig Toys are made of a bio-composite of recycled wood and reclaimed plastic whenever possible and those that are electronic are powered by internal generators that are activated by your child playing with it – not batteries!
This giveaway ended July 25th.
The winner of the Sprig Toys sand truck is…
#24, Heather! YAY! Keep your eyes on your inbox, Heather. You’ll be hearing from us soon!
*Wham-O and Sprig provided us with a sand truck to review, but all opinions are our own!*

12 years agoIt’s actually my daughter who would love this toy the most. She is 2.5 and loves all things truck-like (my husband had a truck till recently). She is also developing a great imagination, blissfully turning one toy into something completely different.
