Burgers are a must-have for any outdoor get-together and these burgers are no exception. The concentrated chicken broth transforms the burgers from bland to brilliant. Swanson Flavor Boost is a concentrated broth that delivers the seasoned flavors of broth in a concentrated, convenient liquid packet. It’s a great finishing touch in meal preparation, bringing depth of flavor to stir-fried dishes, burgers, pasta, meat, poultry, veggies and more, without adding excess liquid. It’s super yummy. We just used it in chili too!
Turkey Burgers
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 15 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
1 pound lean ground turkey
1 small onion, finely chopped (about cup)
2 packets Swanson Flavor Boost Concentrated Chicken Broth
teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons canola oil
4 slices part-skim mozzarella cheese (about 3 ounces)
4 Sandwich Buns (I like the ones with sesame seeds)
1. Thoroughly mix the turkey, onion, concentrated broth and black pepper in a medium bowl. Shape the turkey mixture into 4 (1/2-inch thick) burgers.
2. Heat the oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the burgers and cook until well browned on both sides. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook until the burgers are cooked through. Top the burgers with the cheese and cook until the cheese is melted.
3. Serve the burgers on the buns.
